Let’s Connect expands salary sacrifice mobile offering

Let’s Connect, a leader in the home technology salary sacrifice market, is pleased to announce the launch of its salary sacrifice mobile and contract scheme. This offers a 32-47% reduction in mobile costs to its customers.

As announced on 20 April 2015, Personal Group Mobile Limited (“Personal Group Mobile” or “PG Mobile”) was established through the acquisition of shebang Technologies Group Limited. Let’s Connect, utilising PG Mobile’s status as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (“MVNO”), has the ability to create highly competitive, bespoke tariffs, and deliver its market leading customer service to its clients.

The salary sacrifice saving is achieved using gross, rather than net, salary. The employer pays the total up-front cost of the 24 month mobile package, with the employee sacrificing a proportion of their gross salary, via monthly payments to the employer. No tax or national insurance is paid on the portion of salary given up. Employers can also save on their employee national insurance contributions (typically 12%) of the total salary sacrifice value.

Powered by PG mobile, which uses the infrastructure of the Three network, Let’s Connect’s salary sacrifice mobile schemes typically deliver savings of 32-47% when compared to high street prices. On top of this, Let’s Connect offers a market leading accidental damage and theft insurance package, allowing users to enjoy worldwide cover with zero excess and a UK customer services team.
This scheme is highly complementary to the Company’s existing salary sacrifice offering and customer base, providing the Company with another pathway to engage with customers.

Offering a wide range of the latest smartphones, easy to understand contracts, and fully comprehensive insurance included with all packages, Let’s Connect aims to be the most simple, flexible and affordable salary sacrifice mobile provider. By making handset and contract selection variable to reflect the individual’s lifestyle and budget, this offering puts the end user in total control.

David Walker, Managing Director of Let’s Connect commented: “We are proud that our product stands out as a 21st century benefit which will help both employees make considerable savings and employers retain staff. “With no upfront costs and no credit checks for employees, we believe that Let’s Connect’s offering will make a real difference to employees. With almost everyone in the workplace using a mobile phone currently, this really is a benefit that can be enjoyed by many, many staff.

Mark Scanlon, CEO of Personal Group said: “Let’s Connects newest salary sacrifice product is a great addition to Personal Group’s overall engagement offering, giving employees the chance to save on a monthly cost that almost everyone currently has.”
