Our use of cookies

The purpose of this document is to provide you with clear and comprehensive information about our use of internet browser cookies, to help you make an informed decision when using our websites.

Introduction to cookies

When we provide services, we want to make them easy, useful and reliable. Where services are delivered on the internet, this sometimes involves placing small amounts of information on your device, for example, computer or mobile phone. These include small files known as cookies.

These pieces of information are used to improve services for you through, for example:

  • enabling a service to recognise your device so you don’t have to give the same information several times during one task
  • measuring how many people are using services, so they can be made easier to use and there’s enough capacity to ensure they are fast
  • analysing anonymised data to help us understand how people interact with our services so we can make them better

The cookies we use

Cookies on www.personalgroup.com do the following:

These cookies are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We use the information to compile reports, for digital retargeting and to help us improve the site. The Cookie name is provided so you can identify the cookies that may be in use on your device.

Google Ads

Google Ads Cookies allow us to show users adverts based upon their interaction on our website. We may show you adverts on other sites because you have shown an interest in certain products or services (known as remarketing).

Microsoft Ads

We use Universal Event Tracking to track who has visited our website after clicking on one of our Microsoft Ads. We may also show ads that appear on other websites once a user has visited our site (known as remarketing).

Google Analytics

We use Analytics cookies to collect information about how visitors use our website, including details of the site where the visitor has come from and the total number of times a visitor has been to our website. We use this information to improve our website and to enhance the user experience. The cookies do not identify you personally; they collect information in an anonymous form that is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers.

Facebook

We use a Facebook Pixel which is a piece of code on our website that allows us to measure, optimise and create audiences for Facebook Advertising campaigns.

Twitter

We use a Universal Website Tag to allow us to track the success of Twitter advertising campaigns. This code allows us to see when someone has visited our website after clicking on an advert on Twitter. It also lets us track across devices: for example, if a user views an advert on a mobile and then visits our website from their computer.

LinkedIn

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is a piece of lightweight JavaScript code that we have on our website to enable in-depth advertising campaign reporting. We also use the LinkedIn Insight Tag to track who has engaged with our advertising campaign and show ads to users who have engaged with content on our site (known as retargeting).

Hub Spot

HubSpot is an American developer and marketer of software products for inbound marketing, sales, and customer service. HubSpot uses cookies to track our website visitors and contacts. When the HubSpot software runs on  our website, it leaves behind a cookie on your visitors’ browsers that helps HubSpot identify them on future visits.
