Considering we spend such a large portion of our lifetime working, the idea that we should be happy whilst doing this shouldn’t seem so out of reach.
A 5 day working week, roughly equates to working 73% of the days each year. Therefore, if you are unhappy in your place of employment; you are unhappy roughly 266 days per year.
If your staff go through the week looking forward to the weekend, then spend Sunday evening dreading the week ahead, and continue to repeat this cycle; it might not be so obvious how much time they are spending disgruntled. The impact of happiness at work becomes clearer when you look at the overall picture.
