Medivet were looking for a way to reward their dedicated staff and we provided it.  Their benefits programme is simple to use and accessible to all staff when they need it most.

Background

Medivet already had a pretty engaged workforce.  Despite 132 veterinary practices based in locations all over the UK and employing 1,200 people there is still a great family feel to the company. They have a really supportive working culture through providing flexible working hours and the general feedback was that the staff were pretty happy.

What Medivet wanted to do was to make staff happier and thank employees for their hard work. They had a reward programme in pace but felt that wasn’t enough, they wanted more.  That’s where we came in.

Process

Our Business Development Director, Steven Mason, worked with MediVet to take employee happiness to a new level to develop a voluntary benefits scheme – Medivet Benefits.  This benefits platform is powered by Hapi and enabled Medivet to create a simple and fully customisable benefits platform – just the way they like it.  Launched at the end of April 2016 this platform offers staff discounts so they can save on their weekly shop or days out with the kids.  We worked with them to design a comprehensive and streamlined programme that includes our Hospital plan and health and wellbeing site Hapi-Life.

Outcome

Thanks to our project team, we were able to launch Medivet Benefits earlier than anticipated. Medivet were so excited about the platform that they couldn’t wait, so it was launched three weeks in advance of the launch date. Feedback so far is that the staff are loving Hapi and the benefits that it offers and see this as a valuable bonus to working for such a great company.

They are looking forward to seeing the insight once staff have had plenty of time to get on Hapi and get saving!
