Personal Group announce partnership with the Retail Trust to support British Retail

Wednesday October 27, 2021

The Retail Trust and Personal Group have today announced a partnership to bring new wellbeing benefits to the British retail sector. This will bring much needed support to the three million people working in the industry at a time when employees are having to cope with drastic changes across the industry.

Personal Group will provide mobile access to the Retail Trust's own wellbeing services alongside additional resources including retail discounts, further wellbeing support and communications tools.

The Retail Trust's support already includes counselling and financial aid for retail workers and the partnership with Personal Group will now increase the accessibility of these invaluable resources at a time when the demand for its help is reaching record levels.

Retail Trust members, ranging from frontline shop workers to senior leaders, will all be able to access the new services through an iOS and Android app.

Karen Thornley, chief commercial officer, Personal Group, comments: “We’ve always been a big supporter of British retail – and we’re delighted to officially partner with the Retail Trust. Retail workers have remained on the front line throughout the pandemic and now, more than ever it is key for employers to deliver a wide range of benefits and support to attract and maintain the best staff. Together, we will be creating a brighter future for the sector.”

Chris Brook Carter, chief executive of the Retail Trust, adds: "The millions of people working in British retail have been heavily impacted financially, emotionally and physically during the entire course of the pandemic and as a charity, we are always looking for new ways to enhance our wellbeing offer and continue building hope, health and happiness across the sector".

"Our partnership with Personal Group is one way of doing this, as it will provide thousands of employees with valuable new tools and resources for both at work and home."
